Piggy Bank Lesson 3
Making a Piggy Bank Book
Girl and Siggy Make a Book

If you make an your very own PIGGY BANK BOOK, you'll have a place to draw and write down all the things you’re learning about SAVING, SHARING and SPENDING your money every week. Here's how to make a really cool book!

To Do
  1. Use colored construction paper for the cover and back of the book.

  2. My Piggy Bank BookPut lots of plain white paper in the middle of the two colored sheets, and punch two holes in all the pages. Thread a piece of string or yarn into the holes to hold the book together.

  3. Paste a white piece of construction paper in the center of colored paper so you can draw your own picture of a piggy bank. Or cut out money images from magazines. If you like, buy a spiral notebook, and paste a plain white sheet on the front so you can draw a picture and write a headline such as "My Piggy Bank Book," or "My Money Book." Use your imagination and create your own design. You can do it any way you want to do it because it is your PIGGY BANK BOOK.

  4. After you have finished your book, you might like to watch the video, "Learning To Save." What are some of the things you remember from the video? Draw or write about them in your new PIGGY BANK BOOK.
